Inlecom Introduces i-Ship

Inlecom Systems Ltd (Inlecom) has launched i-Ship, an innovative software application, enabling ship representatives to fulfil their reporting obligations to European and International maritime and custom authorities with greater speed and efficiency. Developed as part of the part EU-funded FP7 eMAR project, i-Ship has been designed specifically to automate reporting formalities in a timely and correct manner taking into account the type of ship and/or voyage and is fully compliant with Directive 2010/65/EU.

Europe to Cut Swath in Vessel Port Formalities Paperwork

The European Commission informs that a new global era for maritime transport will dawn in June 2015 when it will unveil harmonised e-reporting for all vessels entering in or departing from EU ports. Vessels will provide required information electronically via one single entry point – the National Single Window. Currently, inward and outward procedures are duplicative and time consuming, resulting in costs and delays, thus making maritime transport less attractive compared to other modes. The COM(2014) 320/25.6.2014 report urges Member States to increase efforts for this major simplification and harmonisation of the current reporting procedures. All Member States have done a considerable work to transfer the 2010/65 Directive.

Less than a Year to go to the FAL Directive Deadline

The FAL Directive under which European Member States are mandated to adopt a Maritime Single Window system is less than a year away; by June 1 2015 all shipping companies, operators and port authorities must be using the Single Window for reporting. To mark the occasion, Inlecom Systems Ltd. (Inlecom), the transport and logistics research and innovation company, is offering to pilot its Intelligent Ship Reporting Gateway free of charge to ship owners, ship operators and port authorities.

Inlecom, Danaos Launch eMar Software Platforms

Inlecom and DANAOS announced that their e-Maritime compatible collaboration platforms enabling interoperability in shipping software solutions are now available commercially as beta versions, following successful trials with eMAR partners including DNV and Port of Valencia. The platforms have been developed as a result of the EU-funded eMAR project which supports DG MOVE with a specific focus on the EU e-Maritime initiative facilitating Information Exchange for efficient, safe and environmentally friendly maritime operations.

Inlecom Launches EU Maritime Single Windows Checklist

Inlecom Systems Ltd., the transport and logistics research and innovation company, has launched the first ever guide and checklist to enable maritime authorities and trade organizations to fulfill their obligation to deliver ship reporting formalities in electronic format via a Single Window. This is a timely and significant step forward because under the EU Directive 2010/65/EU, commonly known as the FAL Directive, Member States are mandated to adopt a Single Window system no later than June 1, 2015.
