Sinopec Building LNG Storage Tanks at Tianjin Terminal

China's energy giant Sinopec has started building storage tanks in the second phase of its Tianjin terminal project to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG), the company said in a statement.The plan for the second phase is to have five LNG tanks, with storage capacity of 220,000 cubic metres each, and a new berth for LNG vessels.After the project is completed in end-2021, the LNG receiving capacity at the terminal will expand to 10.8 million tonnes per annum from the current 6 million tonnes.So far, the terminal has received 11.21 million tonnes of LNG since the first phase of the project was la

Sinopec Adds LNG Tank at Tianjin Terminal

China's Sinopec Corp completed adding a third tank to store liquefied natural gas at its receiving terminal in Tianjin, marking the completion of construction of the first phase of the import facility, the state oil and gas group said on Tuesday.The terminal, in the northern port city Tianjin, near Beijing, began operations last February. It has an annual receiving capacity of 3 million tonnes and an annual supply capacity of 4 billion cubic meters (bcm).The terminal has so far this year received 22 shipments of LNG that totaled 1.46 million tonnes in volume.

CNOOC Plots Tianjin LNG Terminal Expansion

Sinopec Tianjin Terminal to Receive First LNG Cargo

China Sinopec's new Tianjin terminal will receive first LNG cargo of 30,000-35,000 tonnes from Australia on Jan. 10, a source with the direct knowledge of the project said.   Sinopec Tianjin terminal will start LNG sales at end of January, the source said.
