Transas Receives BSH Certificate for ECDIS Training

Transas Marine GmbH is the first among all German training institutes to receive BSH Flag State approval for its STCW conform ECDIS training. BSH has issued a certificate for Transas with an honorable number BSH-2011-921-001. ECDIS Training offered by Transas Marine follows the IMO Model Course 1.27 fully compliant to the Manila Amendments to STCW 2010, which will be compulsory for training from 1st of January 2012. This allows Transas to issue STCW 2010 compliant ECDIS training certificates.

Pro Nautas, Transas Sign ECDIS Contract

Pro Nautus GmbH and Transas Marine GmbH signed a major ECDIS contract. Transas has been one of main Pro Nautas’ suppliers since its inception. This long term association has now been strengthened with a contract to supply 86 electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS), for installation onboard newbuilds and for retrofit during 2009/2010. Leer (Germany)-based company Pro Nautas is a leading system integrator for marine electronics and has supplied bridge equipment to over 275 newbuild vessels during recent years.

Transas NavCom Package for Kugelbake

Transas Marine GmbH reported the completed supply of the full navigational and communication systems set to a newbuild RoRo vessel for Wulf Seetransporte GmbH & Co. KG, Cuxhaven. Transas delivered a full set of radio-navigational equipment including dual Navi-Sailor 4000 MFD ECDIS, two Navi-Radar 4000 MFD X-band, all navigation sensors, Gyro and steering system and GMDSS A2 equipments, all supplied and commissioned turn-key ready. The 262.5 ft RoRo vessel has been named as MV Kugelbake and was constructed at BVT Bremen shipyard.
