Intellicheck Mobilisa (NYSE Amex: IDN) announced that they were awarded a contract with the Port of New York/New Jersey to supply them with mobile Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) readers and access control systems to support the Department of Homeland Security TWIC Pilot project. The Transportation Worker Identity Credential, or TWIC, program is a Transportation Security Administration and U.S. Coast Guard initiative that provides tamper-resistant biometric identification cards to port facility workers.
