As a precursor to this hugely popular course, a string of training topics, both technical and operational remarkably influencing the current market trends in the survey industry were also discussed as a part of the training schedule. The training courses were held from the 16th to the 27th of November 2014. HYPACK is one of the most widely used hydrographic surveying packages in the world, with more than 4,000 users.

The National Hyperbaric Center (NHC) provides expertise and services to the Subsea industry and pressure-related industries and has been involved in the diving industry for over 25 years through the provision of training, testing, hyperbaric facilities and decompression studies.

Unique Maritime Group Completes Meteorological-Oceanographic System for Zadco. Unique Maritime Group, one of the world’s leading integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solution providers, announced today that it has successfully completed an integrated meteorological-oceanographic system for Zakum Development Co (Zadco), the Abu Dhabi-based oil and natural gas exploration and production firm, on and around Zirku Island. Automatic weather station at Zirku Jetty is equipped with microwave radar, installed at the end of Jetty which is 150m away from the jetty supervisor office and rain gauge sensor installed on the rooftop of the Jetty Supervisor office. The parameters measured at jetty station are precipitation, wave height, wave period and tide.

Unique Maritime Group announced that it had recently delivered two Echoscope 3D Sonars to DI-MEDCO, a joint venture between Dredging International and Middle East Dredging Company for the planned shore protection and harbor construction works of two artificial islands. The Echoscope, produced by CodaOctopus Products, is a sonar capable of producing real-time 3D imagery, enabling the operators of visualize underwater activity in 3D even in zero visibility conditions. “The procurement of the Echoscopes compliments our underwater operations,” said Dirk Draulans, Project Manager at Dredging International. “They shall provide us with enhanced operational efficiency.
