Royal Caribbean Cruises Promotes Captain Wright

Captain William S. Wright who has directed an upgrading of navigational systems for the fleet of Royal Caribbean Cruises has been promoted to senior vice president of safety and environment. Wright will be responsible for developing and overseeing all corporate environmental strategy and activities. Captain Wright, 47, a nine-year veteran of Royal Caribbean International, has served as master of three ships, and for the last three years, he has managed both the Bridge 2000 and the Navigation 2000 programs. He oversaw a total revision of navigation policies and procedures, and the Norwegian Shipowners Association has adopted the company?s manual as the Norwegian Shipowners Association as a template for bridge procedures has adopted a manual.
