The VOS Athos is a 59-metre "A class" anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel and the first of three vessels being built at this yard for Vroon with the additional class ABS notation "Oil recovery Class 2". The "A-class" vessels are slightly more advanced than the "H-type" and "T-Type" AHTS vessels also operated by Vroon, having a bigger bow thruster (8 MT) and, in addition, a stern thruster (6 MT). Consequently, they have improved manoeuvring and station-keeping capabilities. VOS Athos also has a DP-1 notation.

Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) have taken delivery of a new addition to their offshore fleet. The VOS Theia, a 1,400 dwt anchor handling tug support (AHTS) vessel built at the Fujian Shipyard in China, was delivered today, 18 April 2011, in China. The vessel will operate out of Singapore and will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Pte Ltd.
