Stena Line Signs Up for MAN Online Service

MAN Diesel & Turbo recently signed a contract with Stena Line to provide its online service to two vessels. The Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica are both conventional passenger-and-vehicle superferries that sail the daily route between the Hook of Holland and Harwich and are each powered by 4 × MAN 48/60CR engines. MAN D&T, CCS Ink Collaboration Deal at Marintec

MAN Diesel & Turbo signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the China Classification Society (CCS) on December 1, 2015, during Marintec China 2015. The Agreement provides for the strengthening of the cooperation between the two companies in Intelligent Ship research with regards to data exchange, online monitoring and online service. Turbocharger Retrofits for Royal Caribbean

MAN PrimeServ informs it has won the contract from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL) to retrofit the turbochargers aboard four cruise liners from its fleet. The contract covers the retrofit of a total of 30 turbochargers aboard four vessels – two operated by Royal Caribbean International, and two operated by Pullmantur, a wholly-owned RCCL subsidiary, along with attachment kits and technical support. MAN Selects Rud to Head PrimeServ Diesel

MAN Diesel & Turbo’s executive board has appointed Per Rud as the new head of PrimeServ Diesel.   Rud will assume his new role on January 1, 2016 and takes over from Wayne Jones, who will join the executive board as the new chief sales officer.   Rud has led PrimeServ Diesel in Copenhagen for the past five years. Before joining MAN Diesel & Turbo in 2010 as vice president and head of the two-stroke Service and After Sales business, Rud has been working with the DISA Group, a provider of foundry technology, for more than a decade. He is a member of the board of directors at Union Engineering in Denmark.
