Six Washington Students Earn Maritime Scholarships

The 11th annual Norm Manly Puget Sound Maritime (PSM) / Youth Maritime Training Association (YMTA) Maritime Educational Scholarship competition was held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Compass Course Maritime Training. 2010 Norm Manly YMTA Scholarship

The Youth Maritime Training Association (YMTA) is a non-discriminating nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting students who wish to pursue careers in the maritime industry including the marine sciences. The YMTA offers an annual scholarship which may be used by students pursuing maritime training and education in community colleges, technical and vocational programs, colleges, universities, maritime academies or other educational institutions. Scholarships will be awarded in the amounts of one $5,000, one $3,000, and two $1,000 in the Spring of 2010.     Must plan to pursue a post-secondary training or educational program leading to a maritime or marine related career.
