Bee Mar Set to Enter GOM Market

Former Sea Mar President Van C. DeWitt recently announced details about the newly formed marine transportation company, Bee Mar LLC, which he currently heads as President and CEO.  The company is preparing to introduce a fleet of Dynamic Positioning-2 (DP-2) Platform Supply Vessels (PSV’s) for offshore support in the and international markets. The Bee Mar fleet will consist of five 210-ft. and three 234-ft. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) classed DP-2 PSV's. Each vessel has high cargo carrying capacities and meets or exceeds the customer requirements and demands for offshore marine support applications.

The 210 X 56 X 18-ft. PSV’s have superior cargo capacity, with 2,700 LT of cargo, a clear deck measuring 150 x 47-ft. 6,300 barrels of liquid mud and 6,000 cu. ft. of dry bulk capacity.  The vessels are rated at 4,000 BHP. The first of three 234-ft. PSV’s, with 3,000 LT of cargo capacity, is scheduled for delivery in March 2010, with two additional vessels to be delivered within the 3 rd quarter of 2010.  The clear deck on this class of vessel will be 175 x 47-ft., with 9,000 barrels of liquid mud and 6,000 cu. ft. of dry bulk capacity.
