McClearn General Mngr Salem Water Taxi
Keith McClearn has been named as General Manager for Salem Water Taxi in Salem, Mass., one of the area’s mooring rental and launch service providers.
McClearn joined Hawthorne Cove Marina in 2006 as General Manager and will continue in that role for the company while talking on the responsibilities of the day to day management of Salem Water Taxi. His responsibilities include strategic planning and project management while overseeing all aspects of the management team. McClearn has more than 21 years of experience in the marine industry. He began his career in Boston working on commuter boats and charter boats. His experience in the industry also includes serving as Operations Manager and as a Dock Master for several marine companies in Boston.
A native of Winchester, McClearn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts. He is licensed as a 100 ton captain through the United States Coast Guard and is certified in Port Security. He has also taken numerous industry and management courses. A resident of Salem, McClearn is co-owner with his wife Christine McClearn of Studio 107, an Art Gallery and Graphic Design Studio in Salem. He served on the Boston Harbor Islands Advisory Council and is a member of the Marine Trade Association, the American Boat Builders Association, the North Shore Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.
