Sealift Wins Military Contract

Sealift, Inc., Oyster Bay, N.Y., is being awarded a $10,566,750
firm-fixed-price contract for the charter of the containership M/V Major Bernard
Fisher to carry Air Force ammunition. The contract contains four one-year options,
which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to
$47,961,250. Work will be performed around the Diego Garcia area, and is expected
to be completed September 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. Contract funds are awarded subject to availability and will
be obligated in FY05. This contract was procured as a small business set-aside
with in excess of 10 proposals solicited and one technically acceptable offer
received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the
contracting authority (N00033-04-C-3302).
