Xenex Navigation Launches Improved Radar

October 9, 2002

Xenex Navigation Inc. introduced their new radar interface module. This module will greatly enhance the capacity of Xenex's multi-functional radar systems and development tools that combine ARPA functionality, radar control, electronic charting and radar image overlay. The new Xenex radar module is used throughout the new 2000 product series. "Our new module serves as the backbone of our Navigence radar systems, IntegRadar software development tools for OEMs, and SafeHorizon radar surveillance systems," says Harvey Russell, President of Xenex. "The improved design offers our customers radar systems with greater integration, versatility and performance." Xenex 2000 radar systems are compact and lightweight in an attractive blue rugged enclosure. Measuring only 6" by 12.5" by 3" and weighing only 6.2 pounds, they are mountable into the tightest compartments. Xenex systems come with built-in floppy and CDROM drives and a high-performance radar processor in a box. "Xenex meets changing market demands by constantly improving our technology," says Rob Trainor, VP Sales & Marketing of Xenex. "Today's mariners require more from their navigation system than radar image overlay on an electronic chart. Xenex 2000 systems, compatible with virtually all makes of radar in the market, put master radar capabilities within reach of the average mariner. They provide complete ARPA, radar and electronic charting functionalities on a single screen."
