Transas Launches Enhanced Navi-Sailor

In mid-July, Transas commercially launched the latest version of its new-generation marine navigation and information system, Navi-Sailor 3000. The Navi-Sailor 3000 ver.2 has been designed in line with the latest IMO regulations for UAIS interface. As such, Navi-Sailor 3000 has been provided with the capability to send, receive and display UAIS transponder information exactly as it is prescribed by international requirements. Compliance is achieved in the UAIS message format, content and interface of the send/receive facility, while full static, voyage and ship movement data are displayed on the electronic chart screen in strict accordance with the international standards. Based on the latest Transas software technology, Navi-Sailor 3000 is considered the most powerful navigation and information solution for the modern ship’s bridge. As stated by Andrey Vorobiev, Head of Navigation Product Unit for Transas Marine, "Navi-Sailor 3000 offers the shipping market unique full integration of chart, weather, tidal, UAIS and radar data on a single electronic chart screen. Navi-Sailor 3000 incorporates user-friendly windows menu functions providing easy operation by crews of mixed nationality. In addition, the Transas system incorporates standard NMEA 183 interfaces to most commercially available radar and NavAids equipment, which makes this product an economical and flexible information integration solution for any type of commercial, passenger or naval vessels." Navi-Sailor 3000 is available with fully type-approved ECDIS hardware or it can be operated using conventional PC-hardware.
