Eye on the Navy
On Jan. 12, 2009, the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) departed Naval Station Norfolk. Carl Vinson got underway following a four-year refueling and complex overhaul to take part in Southern Seas 2010.
