McDonough Marine Service announced the launching of a new barge, Marmac 303 (300 feet by 100 by 20), the second in a series of new ABS ocean classed deck barges commissioned by the barge and marine transportation company.

The Marmac 303 barge was designed with an ABS Load line maximum cargo capacity of 13,200 short tons at 15.7-foot draft. The uniform deck strength of 4,500 pounds per square foot, combined with increased side shell strength, provides clients with maximum hull protection.  Additionally, the latest industry design provides charterers the greatest opportunity to thrive in the increasingly challenging Gulf of Mexico offshore cargo markets.

The Marmac 303 will be ready for charter next week and eventually will be fleeted in Amelia, La.
