Panama Canal: Lane Outages
The west lane of Miraflores Locks will be out of service beginning late Monday, August 22 for scheduled dry chamber seal repairs on Miter gates 106-107, 114-115, 118-199 and 122-123. The repairs are planned to last four days to August 26.
Additionally, the east lane of Gatun Locks will be out of service from late Tuesday, August 23 until 9 a.m. Friday, August 26 in order to perform scheduled dry chamber seal repairs on Miter Gates 33 and 34.
As a result, Condition 2 for the Panamax locks will be in effect from Tuesday, August 23, 2016, until Friday, August 26, 2016.
