December 23, 2015

Moore Boat has introduced its all new aluminum 25-foot outboard, The Moore 25 OB.
The Moore 25 OB was designed in house and with the assistance of CDI - Band Lavis Division. The new boat is the builder’s first application of its patented Moore Boat hull design propelled by an outboard.

The Moore 25 OB has been designed with a parallelogram hydraulic engine lift that is capable of raising the single 300 horsepower outboard a full two feet. This ability allows for optimized shallow draft operation while underway, maximized full economy and performance benefits, according to the builder. Another advantage of the engine lift and hull combination is observed while the vessel is off plane and maneuvering in the shallows. The lift allows the boats’ prop to be raised and protected above the boats’ delta ski bottom plate thus allowing the operator appropriate maneuverability in the shallows. Many rescues required in non dredged back bay areas that have been thought non-navigable are now accessible to responders.
Moore Boat’s 25 OB is apt in the shallows, yet not as extreme as its diesel jet configured counterparts, the builder explained. The Moore 25 OB utilizes a full CAD designed 5086 aluminum hull with .250” bottom plate. The vessel has a trailer friendly length of 25 feet, a beam of 8.5 feet and capable of a top speed approaching 50 miles per hour with the ability to get up on plane quickly. Static draft yields 12 inches.
The Moore 25 OB will be configurable based on customer/agency requirements. Outfitted as a patrol and rescue vessel, it will feature a central ergonomic focused aluminum hard topped console fitted with frit glass for occupant protection from the elements and twin air vents for comfort. Visibility has additionally been optimized by designing a tapered electronic console that can house practically any electronics package and allow for a full view of the boats forward sheer line. Also featured are an available fire pump, rescue door, twin swim platforms, outboard protectant rail, gunwale backboard storage, abundant lighted options and storage for responders’ equipment.
The Moore 25 OB is available with a single outboard engine, up to 300 horsepower and a 72 gallon fuel tank. All sales are factory direct with each boat hand built to the specifications of the customer. Customization is Moore Boats’ specialty.
