Tundra, GK Enter Security and Logistics Partnership

Marine logistics company Griffin Kinetic (GK) and Tundra Maritime Defence Services, (Tundra MDS) a maritime security provider, announced an exclusive partnership to provide logistics and security services to the international marine community.

This collaboration leverages GK’s capabilities and experience in marine logistics and Tundra MDS’s experience and expertise in the maritime security sector. Both companies have banked in more than 25 years of relevant industry experience.

Over two decades, GK honed their effectiveness and credibility through outstanding service and providing critical logistics solutions, including air and sea freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution services. GK has a clientele of more than 2,000 companies, a database of 8,500 vessels globally, and handles a throughput of more than 25,000 metric tons annually. Already SAMI Stage 1 and ISO 9001 certified, Tundra MDS recently completed Stage 1 of the ISO/PAS 28007 certification process in collaboration with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) - Tundra is now on track to be one of the first Private Maritime Security Contractor (PMSC) to achieve full ISO/PAS 28007 certification by mid-November 2013.

ISO/PAS 28007 gives guidelines containing additional sector-specific requirements, which PMSCs wishing to comply with ISO 28000 can implement to demonstrate that they provide appropriate PCASP services on board ships.
