RS Passes Cyprus MA Audit

The audit, which took place on October 8-10, 2013, confirmed the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) recognition by the Maritime Administration of Cyprus.
 

Summarizing the audit results, Michalis Michaelides, a representative of the Maritime Administration of Cyprus, announced there were no non-conforminies detected in the activity of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.  “The objective of the audit was to achieve a better level of mutual understanding when working together and we succeeded with that. The audit report shows the professionalism and high motivation of the RS staff” – emphasised Michaelides. He especially thanked the RS Chief Executive Officer Sergey Sedov for the hospitality and cooperation.


In his response speech Mr. Sedov said, “RS is recognised by the maritime administrations of 70 flag states. We see our primary mission in promoting the safety of shipping, safety of life at sea and environmental protection. Only through cooperation with the maritime administrations, and in particular with the  Maritime Administration of Cyprus, we will achieve high positive results in our activity”.
