Port/Vessel Safety and Security Workshop

The Port and Marine Services Safety Group of the Marine Section will host a workhop during the National Safety Congress in Chicago September 7-12. Coast Guard and Government Security Officials will present National policy and Guidelines, and progress to date on plans and assessments. Topics will include Port/Vessel cooperative Security Plans (ISPS with ISMS), assessments, waterfront facilities perimeter control, response to terrorist activities, cargo inspections, model plans, overseas pre-inspection, notification, foreign crew identification, and controls on the high seas.
Coordination of plans and assessments with shippers, vessels, terminals businesses and other government entities. Hands-on training will include plan preparation, legal aspects, public affairs for incident response, and tabletop drill. Registration Fee is $225
