UTEC Opens New Premises in Naples, Italy

October 23, 2012

In opening a second new office and workshop facility in six months, UTEC has underlined its commitment to both the Mediterranean and African markets by relocating to a purpose built-facility in Naples, Italy.

Continued sustained growth in operations, including two large geophysical and geotechnical projects in West Africa and Saudi Arabia, has led the company to move to larger premises in Pozzuoli, Naples.

The new building offers 600 square meters of office and workshop/warehouse space and will be the base for the team which currently comprises 10 onshore and 12 offshore personnel.   Projected growth and increases in revenues from European and African operations will see staff numbers increase to 13 onshore and 20 offshore staff by the end of 2012.

The move comes just over a year after the Italy branch was established to strengthen UTEC’s presence in the region, working in conjunction with the recently expanded regional headquarters office in Aberdeen, Scotland. “The new state-of-the-art UTEC facility not only reflects our commitment to the region, but provides an excellent operational base and the springboard for an extensive employee training facility,” says UTEC CEO Martin O’Carroll.
