ABB to Talk Productivity, Energy Efficiency, Investment, at Shangai's Marintec 2013

In celebrating its 10th anniversary of ABB China, Birger Myklebust, Vice President, Merchant Vessel Segment, ABB will discuss the following during the upcoming Expo in China

  1. Next level productivity:
    The power of integration - Sevan project, a case study. ABB will outline a complete solution for power, propulsion, automation and vessel control, including advances in power technology, Azipod propulsion, automation and how a single supplier can streamline the process. 

  2. Energy Efficiency: Onboard DC Grid;
    Update on next generation power solutions for shipboard application – to include status report on new classification notation, plus a case study on the first ferry project to feature Onboard DC Grid.
  3. Investment in emerging markets:
    An early mover in China; ABB China marks a decade of profound change for marine and offshore at ABB and in the region. With Azipod C production now centred in Shanghai, this is a chance to review our extensive reference list, our investment in skills, quality and safety, and our partnerships with the powerhouses of Chinese shipbuilding.
