Crowley Promotes Miller

Crowley Maritime Corporation announced today that Mark Miller has been promoted to director of corporate communications with responsibility for internal communications, media relations, advertising and marketing communications for the corporation and its subsidiaries and business units operating around the world. Miller joined Crowley in April 1995 as manager of public relations and advertising for the corporation’s Jacksonville-based container shipping subsidiary, Crowley Liner Services. In April 2000, he was promoted to manager of corporate communications with similar job responsibilities but supporting all of Crowley’s business units. As director, miller will remain in Jacksonville and continue to report to Susan Rodgers, Crowley’s vice president of human resources. Prior to joining Crowley, Miller worked as manager of public relations for the Jacksonville Port Authority and as a business reporter for the Florida Times-Union. He graduated with a BA in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1986. Miller is a member of the Transportation Marketing Communications Association and the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Jacksonville.
