Force Protection Industries Awarded Contract Worth $376.6M

Force Protection Industries, Inc., Ladson, S.C., is being awarded $376,644,117 for firm-fixed-priced delivery order #0006 under a previously awarded contract for the purchase of 553 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Category I vehicles and 247 MRAP Category II vehicles and vehicle sustainment Integrated Logistic Support. Work will be performed in Ladson, S.C., and work is expected to be completed April 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
