New Middle East Service from Providence, R.I.

July 11, 2013

Ports America will provide terminal and stevedoring services for Liberty Global Logistics LLC’s (LGL) new monthly service of vehicles to the Middle East from Providence, R.I., with the first sailing scheduled for July 27, 2013, on M/V Glovis Composer.

Although initial volumes on this dedicated Middle East service may be a modest 300 used vehicles, the business is expected to grow rapidly into a fortnightly service within a year based upon targeted cargo support and realized operational efficiencies. Ports of call include the countries of Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, India, UAE, Iraq and Kuwait.
