'Daily Maersk', promising absolute reliability on its Asia-North America service successfully delivers for 6 months

'Daily Maersk', the revolutionary service of Maersk Line that promises absolute reliability on the Asia-North Europe trade, has now been running for six months serving over 900 customers and shipping more than 93,500 containers.

The service has delivered an average reliability of 97 percent over the last six months. More recently, reliability has exceeded 99 percent, Maersk Line said.

“We are extremely pleased to see the on-time delivery rate for Daily Maersk improving month by month. We are truly delivering on our promise of absolute reliability,” says Ole Pradsgaard, Daily Maersk Project leader.

Maersk Line’s unique product offers daily cut-off times for cargo loading (rather than weekly cut-offs); providing great flexibility for customers.

It also measures reliability based on container availability for gate-out at the destination port and not the transit time for service.

The Daily Maersk service has been gaining popularity in the world’s busiest corridors; from Yantian in China to Felixstowe in England alone, it has transported more than 17,000 containers in the first six months.

Daily Maersk has also helped reduce the carbon footprint of the supply chain by producing approximately 13 percent lower carbon dioxide emissions per container moved than the industry average on the Asia-North Europe trade.
