IMO- Response to Oil Spill off Lebanese Coast

The IMO posted the report of the coordination meeting on the response to the marine pollution incident in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, held in Piraeus, Greece on 17 August. It also posted the International Assistance Action Plan for responding to the spill. The objective of the plan is to provide immediate advice and technical assistance to the Government of Lebanon; assess the type of assistance and resources needed to respond to the spill; and identify and mobilize the financial and in-kind available assistance and contributions needed to implement the plan.
