RVC Line Charter for Suzuka Express

August 27, 2019

Dutch shipping company Vroon entered recently into a three-to-six time charter deal with Dubai-based RVC Shipping for Suzuka Express, a car carrier.

RVC Line is a car-carrier service from Mumbai to the Persian Gulf. It is the first dedicated PCTC (pure car and truck carrier) service catering for Indian Automobile manufacturers.

"RVC Line’s main objective is Schedule Integrity, with the service designed to ensure sailings are on time, every time," claimed a press release from Vroon

Usually a vessel will sail on slow speed, around 13 knots. Having a maximum speed of over 19 knots, Suzuka Express can recover any time lost by adjusting speed, thereby facilitating RVC Line in fulfilling its promise.

The stern ramp SWL (safe working load) of 100 MT and maximum height of 5.6m are advantageous, especially when serving the “high and heavy” vehicles market.

Since starting her charter in mid June, Suzuka Express has undertaken regular port calls to Mumbai, Jebel Ali, Shuwaikh and Umm Qasr. The transported cargo has consisted mainly of trucks and busses.

Before the first cargo was loaded in Mumbai, her new charterers invited the Pastor of their church and some close friends on board to conduct a short prayer session.
