T&T Marine Salvage Helps Battle Condo Fire

June 22, 2009

Recently, T&T Marine Salvage supplied fire pumps to help battle a recent fire at a Hurricane Ike-damaged waterfront condo development on Galveston’s Seawall Boulevard

T&T Marine Salvage set up two fire pumps to draw water from a lake adjacent to the Maravilla Condos, which were being renovated after sustaining damage during September’s Hurricane Ike. About 60 condos were destroyed in the fire, but no one staying at the 164-unit complex was injured.

Each fire pump provided by T&T Marine Salvage had a capacity of 2,650 gpm, with two monitors, built-in foam proportioner and five 2.5-inch and three 1.5-inch hose connections.

Renovations to the complex were about a month from completion when the blaze broke out.
