RWO offers as the first ballast water treatment company a 3D scan service Modelling of the installation of a ballast water treatment system on board a ship.

The Bremen-based water and wastewater treatment specialist RWO now offers its maritime customers - besides its efficient CleanBallast ballast water treatment system that has been tested under and designed for realistic conditions - an additional and essential service for retrofittings.

RWO recently acquired its own high-speed 360° 3D scanner.

As one of the first ballast water treatment system manufacturers worldwide, RWO recently acquired its own high-speed 360° 3D scanner and also with this customer service is positively ahead of the times. So as of now RWO can in only a short time create in exact detail three-dimensional images of a ship's engine room and by this means portray the most advantageous options for installing the CleanBallast system. The image gives the shipowner and the shipyard an exact, digital reproduction of the conditions and thus saves costs and effort for necessary design and engineering work. For presentation purposes, etc., the depiction of the environment scanned in 3D can also be provided in color.
A further benefit is the measurement, accurate to the millimetre, of clearances from the scanned image. This means that time-consuming surveying work, which normally is necessary for the assessment of the space conditions on board a ship is no longer required.
