Oceans in Serious Trouble?

The U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy was set to release its preliminary report on ocean policy on Tuesday, April 20.

The report will be of interest to anyone who makes their business on the U.S. waterways, as the Commission is of the opinion that our oceans and our coasts are in serious trouble and that the nation must seize this historic opportunity to sustain the oceans, coasts, and their valuable resources for future generations.

The Senate Commerce Committee is slated tpo conduct a hearing on this issue on the morning of April 22. The Senate Appropriations Committee will conduct a hearing on the afternoon of April 22.
