STX Shipbuilding Co. said Wednesday it had secured a $468m order to build six bulk carriers from a Greek shipping company. The order calls for STX Shipbuilding to deliver the vessels to Anangel Maritime Service Inc. by June 2011, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The shipbuilder, a unit of South Korea's STX Group, said it will focus on building larger ships such as oil tankers and liquefied natural gas carriers. Its net profit reached 41.1 billion won last year, compared with a loss of 6 billion won a year earlier. Source: Business in Asia Today
