Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd Announces 6 New Contracts for US $214.2 Million

SINGAPORE: Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd announced six new shipbuilding contracts for a total of US $214.2 million.

The company will build two 82,000 DWT (deadweight tonnage) bulk carriers, two 10,000 DWT bulk carriers and two 4,800 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) container ships, to be delivered in 2012 and 2013.

During the first quarter of 2011 Yangzijiang has secured a total of 14 shipbuilding contracts adding up to US $512.3 million.
