Shipyard Accident to Delay Delivery

June 27, 2007

A $50m clam vessel being built for Clearwater Seafoods Income Fund capsized and sank in shallow waters while being towed from a shipyard in Taiwan to a nearby drydock. The Halifax-based trust said none of the workers aboard were injured, but said the accident will delay delivery of the vessel and affect next year's profit. The ship had been expected in Canada by late this year.
