North Florida Shipyards Installs Spar Deck

North Florida Shipyards completed its contract for the fabrication and installation of a spar deck on RoRo vessel Cape Rise owned by the U.S. Maritime Administration. Completed one week ahead of schedule, this is the third of a three-vessel contract - completed on schedule. The first two of the vessel series, Cape Race and Cape Ray owned by MarAd and operated by Intrepid Ship Management, were also outfitted with a spar deck measuring 42,000 sq. ft., allowing the vessel to carry an increased amount of vehicles.
