Siemens Opens Seattle Marine Service

June 2, 2009

Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. has opened a second marine service location in Seattle, Wa. devoted to servicing offshore supply vessels, cruise lines, ferries, cargo carriers and other ocean vessels. Like its sister marine service location in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the West Coast location will serve both on-call and service contract customers.

The new Seattle dedicated marine service location will offer a wide variety of services: on-call emergency response, repair services, spare parts services, condition monitoring, technical support programs and asset management programs.

Siemens new Seattle marine service location will offer a large array of repair services for automation, drives, motors, instrumentation and controls as well as spare parts services and part audits. For less complex issues, Siemens offers a 24-hour staffed call center that operates seven days a week, 365 days a year.  More complicated issues are resolved by Siemens on-call emergency response assistance that provides service, parts and product support. With a worldwide network of warehouses, Siemens can offer spare parts within a guaranteed timeframe.

The Seattle dedicated marine service location also offers technical support programs that provide software upgrades and scheduled maintenance for the entire electrical equipment system or portions of it, even if the original installation was not performed by Siemens. Asset management programs are also available for motor management, power delivery systems and auxiliary systems.
