Northrop Grumman Names Simmerman as VP

Northrop Grumman Corporation
has appointed George M. Simmerman, Jr. as vice president,
assistant general counsel and sector counsel, effective immediately.
He will report to W. Burks Terry, corporate vice president and general
counsel. In this role, Simmerman will be responsible for all legal
advice to the Ship Systems sector.
Simmerman joined the company in 1991 as division counsel at
Ingalls Shipbuilding, now a part of Northrop Grumman Ship Systems
sector. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at the
sector, most recently for delivery of all legal services to its
operations in Pascagoula, MS. He has served as president, vice
president and treasurer of the Jackson County Bar Association, as a
director of the Mississippi Bar's Young Lawyer Section and as the
Mississippi Chair of the ABA Section on Public Contract Law.
