Transas Supplies Simulator for Hellenic Navy
Transas Hellas in collaboration with Transas Mediterranean SAS supplied the Naval Training Command of the Hellenic Navy with a Bridge Simulator.
The bridge simulator covers the training needs of the HN/NTC (Hellenic Navy / Naval Training Command), regarding the training and practice of Hellenic Navy War Ships team as well as the HN personnel. The simulator also meets the standards of the IMO regulations. Additionally it has the ability to network with other simulators and will be able to expand and operate up to 16 bridges.
Located in the region of Skaramanga, Athens (Greece), the simulator will provide training of military personnel (warrant officers, petty officers and cadets in military service).
The bridge is designed with built in equipment flexibility to allow for reconfiguration between a variety of vessel types, including Greek Navy āSā class Frigates, and commercial vessels. Navigational equipment fitted on each bridge simulate real system interfaces, including modern ARPA/Radars, and in particular real GEM LD 1825 ARPA-Radar, ECDIS, GMDSS communications, and the most recent of integrated navigation systems. Each element of the simulation suite can be operated independently or in integrated training scenarios involving up to three interactive navigational bridges. A comprehensive library of vessel models including warships, are available for use with area databases covering large exercise areas, important global shipping ports and routes.
