ARI Deliver India Offshore Vessel Bridge Simulators

December 16, 2013

ARI Simulation has delivered a complete suite of integrated offshore simulators to the NUSI Offshore Training Institute (NOTI) in Mumbai, India.

The NOTI facility has been created by the National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) to support competence development in offshore shipping among its members, promoting best practice as they progress up the chain of command in this vital, fast-growing sector.

ARI Simulation was given a brief to achieve several offshore sector firsts for NOTI. These included the design and delivery of the world’s largest visual 360-degree dedicated offshore vessel bridge simulator and India’s first Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) simulator.

The NOTI centre also includes a full mission offshore vessel engine simulator, an offshore crane simulator, a full mission DP-2 bridge simulator and a unique eight-station multifunctional classroom, complete with functionality for DP, ECDIS, Radar, ship handling and oilfield navigation training.

Mr Shravan Rewari, CEO of ARI Simulation, said:
“The NOTI simulators individually offer the most sophisticated immersive simulation training solutions ever developed for the offshore industry. ARI’s unique total integration model significantly extends training capabilities, empowering the Institute to offer training across the spectrum of offshore operations in topside, surface and subsea work areas.  We are privileged to be the technology partner to the NOTI institute and to have been given the opportunity to deliver a cost-effective yet truly world class solution.”
