Great moments in naval architecture & marine engineering

The world's largest construction vessel, Pioneering Spirit, commenced offshore operations in August 2016. The 382m-long and 124m-wide ship  was built primarily at DSME’s Okpo Shipyard in South Korea and is used for installation, decommissioning and pipelay activities. In February this year, owner Allseas announced it plans to build an even larger vessel, Amazing Grace, to be commissioned in 2022.
