In June 2013, Solar Solve Marine received 18 separate orders for their SOLASOLV roller screens from their South Korean Distributor. The orders are primarily for ships under construction in South Korean shipyards and equated to a total quantity of 236 screens.

SOLASOLV anti glare screens are installed at the windows of all types of ships, rigs and cranes worldwide. According to the manufacturer, they are a safety product that effectively rejects up to 87% of heat and up to 93% of glare from the sun. The company claims that eye strain is significantly reduced ensuring visual displays are easier to read, and a clear outward view is maintained for safer navigation. A more ambient room temperature means that the crew are less prone to fatigue which can lead to human error. Suitable for newbuilds and retrofits, SOLASOLV screens are guaranteed for seven years and Type Approved by Lloyds, ABS and DNV.

The orders represent continued business from a client that Solar Solve has worked with for over 20 years and shares an excellent working relationship with. The screens will be installed on Gas Carriers, LPG Carriers and Tankers.
