Selex ES Provides Further VSAT Solutions

February 14, 2013

The UK Marine business of Selex ES, a Finmeccanica company, has completed a contract to supply a Ku-Band Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) system, including a five-year airtime package, for use on the Serco vessel SD Victoria.

VSAT engineers from Selex ES’ UK office network carried out the installation and commissioning, beginning in Greenock and completing in Portland.

This is the second successful Selex ES deployment of VSAT for Serco and complements that previously supplied to the SD Northern River.

The completion of this contract further strengthens a longstanding relationship between Serco and Selex ES’ Marine business: and extends Selex ES’ role in connecting and protecting stakeholder communities.
