Gas Reformer in Spotlight at Abu Dhabi Expo

November 11, 2013

Wärtsilä is participating for the first time in ADIPEC, the currently running Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, for the first time, and is showcasing their Gas Reformer technology amongst other related hi-tech products.

Also present at the event is Wärtsilä’s established Valves brand, which has demonstrated its pumps and valves capabilities in past ADIPEC events as part of the Hamworthy brand.

The Wärtsilä GasReformer

The Wärtsilä GasReformer addresses the common challenges of gas, including low methane content and number, fluctuating gas quality and the presence of higher hydrocarbons. By converting higher hydrocarbons in natural or associated gas to increase fuel gas’ Methane Number, the GasReformer improves the Wärtsilä DualFuel engine’s performance and fuel flexibility. The main potential of the Wärtsilä GasReformer is in offshore applications, including converting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) captured from crude oil, and associated gas from drilling and production platforms and FPSOs, to a stable fuel.

Pumps and Valves
Wärtsilä say they offer a wide range of pumps and valves solutions for the offshore market, including FPSO, FSO and FLNG vessels, drill ships, rigs and OSVs. With centers of excellence in Denmark and Singapore, Wärtsilä delivers environmentally sound pump solutions for the marine, oil & gas and petrochemical industries.

Visit Wärtsilä at Stand 11344 at ADIPEC 2013, 10 to 13 November to find out more about Wärtsilä solutions for the oil and gas industry, join the daily Networking session from 1600 to 1700 at the stand.
