The Candian based company announced it has contracted Entech & Semar to be an authorized reseller of its ShipConstructor and EnterprisePlatform software.

Entech & Semar will add sales and support of SSI software to its range of ship services and engineering solutions, including ship machinery and spare part sales, maintenance services and engineering.

Such a diversity of offerings fits with the diverse nature of Turkish shipbuilding, SSI said: "Rather than specializing in series production, Turkish shipyards tend to focus on flexibility, building and repairing everything from large vessels to workboats, bulk carriers, semi-submersibles, drill-ships and other types of ships."

Turkey regularly places in the world's top 10 countries in terms of deadweight production, and sometimes higher in terms of the number of ships being launched.
