June 1, 2005

Shipping accountants Moore Stephens has appointed two new partners, Richard Greiner and Michael Simms, to its growing shipping group.

"Shipping is booming, and Moore Stephens has never been so busy, handling audit, consultancy, tax and corporate governance work for every level of shipping across the globe," says Chris Chasty, head of the shipping group. "I'm pleased to have two more very knowledgeable shipping partners to provide our wide shipping client base with the support it needs."

Richard Greiner joined Moore Stephens from university, and has worked with shipping throughout his career. He has run offices for Moore Stephens in both Poland and Cyprus. More recently, he has been at the forefront of consultancy, research and marketing for the shipping team. He will continue to hold those responsibilities.

Michael Simms joined Moore Stephens as an audit manager in 2001, after five years in the Middle East with another accounting major. He deals with both UK and international shipping companies, and specialises in audit, corporate governance and risk advisory projects.
