SSC Symposium Call for Papers

The Ship Structure Committee is soliciting papers for presentation at the SSC 2011 Symposium to be held in conjunction with National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) International on March 15, 2011. The theme is “My Corrosion 2011.”

NACE requests that presentations be given under the following tracks:
1) Corrosion Control
2) Ballast Water
3) Void Coatings
4) Goal Based Standards
5) Anti-Fouling Coatings

Subject areas covered in each track include, but are not limited, to the following:
•    Addressing Industry Needs Through Innovations in Chemical and Mechanical Cleaning
•    Advances in Materials and Corrosion Control in Fossil and Alternative Fuel Conversion and Combustion
•    Biofuels Corrosion Issues Black Powder in Sales Gas Pipelines
•    CO2/H2S Corrosion in Wet Hydrocarbon-Containing Environments Cathodic Protection
•    Coatings for Exterior, Elevated-Temperature Service for Insulated and Non-insulated Service
•    Condition Assessment of Buried Pipes in Nuclear Power Plants Corrosion
•    Environmentally Assisted Cracking
•    Issues and Challenges with Hydrotesting
•    Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion
•    Oil and Gas Production
•    Pipeline Integrity
•    Under-Deposit Corrosion Testing and Mitigation
•    Vapor Corrosion Inhibitors and Rust Preventatives
•    Waterside Boiler Tube Failure

Requirements: 1) Paper title; 2) author(s) name, affiliation, address, e-mail, telephone and fax; and 3) abstracts not exceeding 200 words. Indicate the track (note the list of the 5 tracks above) for which you would like your paper to be considered.
