Intellian Technologies, the world’s technological leader in marine satellite antennas, announced that it has begun construction on a 71,000 square foot R&D, manufacturing and shipping facility, the Intellian Center for Innovative Technologies. Scheduled for completion in February 2010, the new facility provides six R&D labs for increased product development and testing, as well as substantially increased production and shipping capabilities, to accommodate increased product demand and larger antenna solutions. Intellian Technologies has also increased the size of its North American R&D operations with the relocation of the company’s Chief Technology Officer to its Irvine California facility and an increase in staff to address the multiple carriers, and ku- and ka-band complexity.

Located just outside of Seoul, South Korea, the new Intellian Center for Innovative Technologies will house a 30,000 square foot R&D center that provides extensive window access to the sky for convenient antenna development and testing inside of the building. The R&D center will also house six labs to conduct a battery of tests to ensure quality and reliability in a variety of simulated field-like conditions, as well as a final Quality Control Antenna Aging Facility and a training center for Intellian partners. In addition to the new R&D center and production facility, the Intellian Center for Innovative Technologies will include a gym and restaurant for the employees. Intellian corporate headquarters, sales and marketing functions will remain in Seoul.
