April 23, 2003

Tideworks announced that Operadora Portuaria de Manzanillo (OPM) will deploy Tideworks’ best-of-breed Mainsail and Spinnaker products. Mainsail and Spinnaker will replace Navis’ systems at the terminal, which currently handles over 250,000 container moves a year. Tideworks’ will offer its full-service approach, which provides OPM with local onsite support, a data conversion, EDI services and system monitoring. The company’s expertise in interfacing Mainsail with third-party billing systems will ensure OPM’s success in interfacing Mainsail with their billing system. Finally, Tideworks’ Web-based systems, which will enable OPM to interface with customers over the Internet, will improve customer service and reduce costs. OPM’s business goals will be met. Mainsail and Spinnaker Mainsail Terminal Management System™ combines the best practices of hands-on terminal management with the latest Internet-driven technologies to help terminals maximize productivity and customer service at every step in the operation. Spinnaker Planning Management System™ uses graphically-rich vessel, yard, and rail planning tools to enable terminals to quickly manipulate real-time container information into accurate, electronically dispatched orders for load, discharge, and yard moves.
