Titan Wins $20M Navy Deal

The Titan Corp. / Unidyne Group, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an
estimated $19,883,946 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity,
cost-plus-incentive-fee, performance based type contract to provide navigation
systems installation support services to SPAWARSYSCEN-CHSN for installation,
removal, and testing of navigation systems onboard ships and in shore facilities, as
well as associated engineering, technical, and logistics support services. The
contract includes four one-year option periods, which if exercised, would bring the
cumulative value of the contract to an estimated $125,887,107. Work will be
performed in Norfolk, Va., (78 percent) and San Diego, Calif., (22 percent) and is
expected to be completed by February 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured under full
and open competition. The Request for Proposal was posted on the SPAWAR Systems
Center E-commerce website and one offer was received. The Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Center, Charleston is the contracting activity for this action
